1996

Gopalakrishnan started his legacy in the food industry with a small mamak store in Sri Muda called Sri Melur Jaya.

2005

Having developed his own recipe for making the fluffy and delicious roti canal, Sri Melur Jaya quickly won the hearts of people. By 2005, the branch grew to 10 restaurants with a central kitchen that distributed roti canal dough and other delicacies to all the restaurants. To improve on the hygienic standards of mamak restaurants and the efficiency of production, machinery was employed in the process.

2007

From our central kitchen, Gopalakrishanan brought his secret recipe to other eateries in Klang Valley by distributing the roti canal dough throughout Klang Valley. Thus, he begin to dream of building another company to distribute his roti canal recipe and more throughout Malaysia.

2009

Gopalakrishnan’s son Yoges continued his father’s legacy after his passing. He opened a small factory in Puchong producing Capati and Roti Canal Dough with a strong vision of distributing delicious and preservative-free food to local mamak stores.

2012

Knowing the true secret of roti canai lies in the flipping of the dough, Yoges ventured into Frozen Roti Canai and Capati. It was made for the utmost convenience with the possibility of simply putting the delight in the toaster for 2 minutes.

2017

The daughter-in-laws, Jayanthi and Vasanthi, took over the factory as Yoges desired to run the management. The focus shifted on expanding the markets of Roti Canai Dough and Capati Dough to other regions of Malaysia.

Present

The product variety has widened with Tosai Batter, Frozen Idli and even Roti Swing under the leadership of the daughter-in-laws. They dream of sharing their father-in-laws recipe globally and are working towards globalising their business.
